Aisha's Story

Aisha arrived at New Horizon House’s main campus having suffered abuse and trauma. Aisha spent three months here working with the staff and engaging with our aftercare program before moving on to our Transition Home for a further nine months.

Aisha quickly learned the value of education and threw herself into her studies of the English language and computer skills. She found it challenging but worked hard to achieve good marks in her school exams.

Our Transition Home is intended to act as the next step for girls over eighteen who are continuing on their journey of restoration with our support. We give the girls at Transition Home more responsibility for their lives to teach them to become more independent in preparation for their futures. It was here at Transition House that Aisha learned to better understand her weaknesses and the areas that she wanted to work on so she could become a better person for herself and others.
